“Breaking with Tradition or Expanding Tradition?”
The C. G. Jung Society of the Triangle’s season opening speaker is not a Jungian analyst. And a single presenter is not featured. The 31-year-old non-profit organization decided to break with tradition in two ways: it is sponsoring a non-Jungian analyst for the first time. And it is hosting two lecture/workshop leaders, a husband and wife team from the professional staff at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. The presenters are James Kepner, PhD, and Lourdes Quiroz Kepner, MA. The October 10th and 11th event is entitled, “Awakening the Dream: Gestalt Practice with Dreams, Fantasies, Stories and Symbols.”
The Kepners will describe and contrast the Gestalt and Jungian orientation to dreams and symbols. And they will use six guides derived from Gestalt theory for experimenting with elements of dreams, fantasies, stories, and symbols. The lecture and experiential workshop is designed for those in the helping professions as well as for the general public.
